Notts Against New Coal is part of a growing grass roots opposition to coal in the UK and across the world.  Here are some of the other organisations that are campaigning against coal (in no particular order).  Check them out.

Stop Kingsnorth Power Station is a coalition of organisations dedicated to stopping the building of the first coal fired power station in this country for 25 years. 

 Telford Against New Coal  (TANC) is opposed to extraction and burning of coal in Telford and surrounding district.

Yorkshire Against New Coal (YANC) is opposed to open cast coal mining and the building of new coal fired power stations in Yorkshire.

 The Coal Hole campaigns against open cast coal mining across the Uk and has lots of useful links and maps and stuff – definitely worth a visit. 

 The Network for Climate Action is a UK wide network of groups working to take action on the root causes of climate change

 Greenpeace has been at the forefront of anti coal campaigning at Kingsnorth   

 The residents of Ffos-y-fran have been fighting a massive open cast coal mine that is within yards of their back yards for 4 to 5 years now.
